Overview

Settled Field Platform is a client project designed to transform an existing informational website into a structured event and engagement system.

The goal is to support a live Summit with a clearer user journey, reliable registration flow, secure payment handling, lightweight content delivery, and a foundation for future growth.

This is not just a website refresh.

It is a conversion-focused platform built to help people discover the event, understand its value, register confidently, and stay engaged afterward.

The Problem

The existing site already contains meaningful brand and content value, but it does not currently function as an operational platform.

Key gaps included:

no registration system
no payment workflow
no clear event funnel
no backend structure for growth
no modern security baseline for ongoing delivery
need to preserve existing site content and media

My Approach

I framed this as a systems problem.

Instead of asking, “How do we improve the website?” I asked:

How do we build a system that moves someone from awareness to action?

This led to a simple model:

Awareness → Interest → Decision → Registration → Follow-up

Planned Solution

Version 1 focuses on essential event functionality:

landing page aligned to the current brand
summit/event details page
speaker profiles
ticket registration flow
secure payment processing
confirmation flow
lightweight content/resource section
simple admin dashboard

Security Baseline

Security is a first-class requirement:

dependency hygiene
vulnerability scanning
CVE awareness and updates
CI/CD pipeline
